Protect Privacy

Respect the privacy of children, families, and other community members.

  • Ask permission before sharing others' stories
  • Use discretion when sharing photos of children
  • Keep personal information private
  • Report any doxxing or privacy violations

Don't

  • Share identifying information about others without consent
  • Post photos of other people's children
  • Share private messages publicly
  • Collect or request personal data from members

Keep Discussions Constructive

Contribute to meaningful conversations that help parents and caregivers.

  • Stay on topic in discussions
  • Ask clarifying questions before making assumptions
  • Share your experiences to help others
  • Accept constructive feedback gracefully

Don't

  • Derail conversations with unrelated topics
  • Post repetitive or spammy content
  • Engage in flame wars or trolling
  • Use excessive caps or aggressive formatting

No Spam or Self-Promotion

Keep the community focused on helping parents, not promoting products or services.

Do

  • Share product recommendations when genuinely helpful
  • Disclose any affiliations or sponsorships
  • Contribute valuable content beyond self-promotion
  • Ask moderators if unsure about promotional content

Don't

  • Post affiliate links without disclosure
  • Repeatedly promote your own products or services
  • Send unsolicited promotional messages
  • Create fake accounts to boost content

Content Safety

Help us maintain a safe environment for all community members.

Do

  • Use content warnings for sensitive topics
  • Report concerning content immediately
  • Support members who may be struggling
  • Follow product recall and safety alerts

Don't

  • Share content that endangers children
  • Post graphic or disturbing images
  • Promote dangerous practices or products
  • Ignore safety concerns raised by others

Reporting Violations

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it:

  • 1Use the Report button - Click the three-dot menu on any post, comment, or user profile and select "Report"
  • 2Select the reason - Choose the category that best describes the violation
  • 3Add details - Provide any additional context that helps our moderation team

All reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. Your identity is kept confidential.

Moderation Actions

We take a graduated approach to enforcement, considering the severity and frequency of violations:

Warning

First-time or minor violations receive a friendly reminder about guidelines.

Content Removal

Violating content is removed. Repeated issues may result in posting restrictions.

Temporary Suspension

Serious or repeated violations result in temporary account suspension.

Permanent Ban

Severe violations or continued misconduct result in permanent removal.

Appeals Process

If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you can appeal:

  • Contact our support team within 14 days of the action
  • Provide your username and details about the situation
  • Explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered
  • Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator than the original decision

We're committed to fair and transparent moderation. Our goal is always to maintain a supportive community, not to punish members.
